On 1 June 2022, the Hon Martin Hunt MP, Minister for Finance, released the 2022-23 Budget.
The 2022-23 Budget recognises revenue of $252.5 million and expenditure of $251.9 million with a $549,000 surplus balance.
The 2022-23 Budget Theme is “Sustaining a Resilient Naoero”, which builds on the current development priorities of the government. The budget includes measures to strengthen the resilience of Nauru economy, infrastructure and people.
